The river walks in Hamilton are amazing and we use this and the many parks around here far more than we used the beach in Tauranga. The place is growing really fast and is ideal for commuting to the rest of the north island. The student population means there's great nightlife and we are enjoying the music scene here. If you want the healthy lifestyle then the power walkers / cyclists / joggers going past your window at 6.30 a.m. every morning will be an eyeopener. The town is really geared up for activities with parks, running tracks and excellent cycle lanes. The V8 races are going to be held here and it's a safe bet if investing in real estate.

HAMILTON

Well we finally chose to leave Tauranga and now live in Hamilton in the Waikato district of NZ. This was primarily a farming area but Hamilton city is thriving. Famous for the Waikato river that runs through the centre and just over 1 hours drive from Auckland we have found it to be everything we expected. A large student population means that Hamilton or " H town"  has excellent nightlife and plenty for us to see and do. The music scene is growing here as well and hopefully we will be a part of that.

 So why Hamilton ? Well its central location is important (1 hours drive to Rotorua, Tauranga or Auckland). Raglan, famous for it's surf beach, is only a 40 min drive away and it has a younger more vibrant feel than Tauranga.
